Shari Thurow has been designing and promoting websites since 1995, and she is outsourced to many firms throughout the U.S. As a pioneer in the area of search-engine friendly website design, she has a 100% success rate for getting client sites ranked at the top of search engines and is the author of Search Engine Visibility. She served on the Board of Directors of the Information Architecture Institute (IAI). She also served on the board of the User Experience Professionals Association (UXPA), formerly the Usability Professionals Association.
She also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of ASLIB Journal of Information Management (AJIM) and the Bing Ads Accredited Professional Advisory Board. ASLIB (Association for Information Management) is a British association of special libraries and information centers founded in England in 1924 as Association of Special Libraries and Information Bureaux.
Shari received her B.A. in Genetics and Developmental Biology and an M.A. in Asian Studies/Japanese from University of Illinois. Her doctoral work is in multiple disciplines (East Asian Language and Literature, Human/Computer Interaction, Information Sciences).
Nina Vaught brings over 25 years marketing, communications and consulting experience to Omni Marketing Interactive. Working in both Fortune 500 and small business environments, she played key roles in marketing communications, website usability and user experience.
During thirteen years with Hewlett Packard in product marketing and business development for domestic and global services, Nina was a recognized customer experience advocate, and worked with the Hewlett-Packard online Business Store to improve online communications and site usability; and with clients including State Farm, Proctor & Gamble, Glaxo Welcome, Johnson & Johnson and Michelin to optimize delivery of service, customer satisfaction and profitability.
Since leaving Hewlett Packard in 2000 she has accomplished extensive usability research and conducts expert website usability analyses and user-centered website design for a wide variety of industries.
Nina holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Communications at Marylhurst University, with an Associates of Arts Degree in Advertising and PR. Professional memberships include Usability Professionals Association, Internet Professional Network, and American Marketing Association.
David Barnes brings over 30 years of award-winning photography experience and accolades to Omni Marketing Interactive. After winning many NPPA, IPPA and AP photo awards, David has worked with the Waukegan News-Sun, an 80,000 circulation daily newspaper covering Lake County, Illinois, and WBBM-TV News/CBS.
The Waukegan News-Sun won the Picture Editor of Year from the National Press Photographer's Association while David was on staff. David also was writer and producer for the Two on Two documentary show on WBBM-TV News/CBS, in many cases combining video with stills.
In the early 1980s he worked for Time Magazine, out of the Midwest Bureau, and other New York based magazines including People, US and Business Week. David continues to photograph for major magazines as well as our corporate clients.
